Membrane Dryers are normally used for low flow, point of use applications. They work on the principal of dew point suppression, so in order to achieve very good dew points, they either have to be preceeded by a fridge dryer or be heavily oversized. Membrane dryers are not serviceable and have to be replaced if contaminated (like bulk oil or water). For this reason, a solid bank of pre filters are needed.
