Membrane Dryers

Membrane Dryers are normally used for low flow, point of use applications. They work on the principal of dew point suppression, so in order to achieve very good dew points, they either have to be preceeded by a fridge dryer or be heavily oversized. Membrane dryers are not serviceable and have to be replaced if contaminated (like bulk oil or water). For this reason, a solid bank of pre filters are needed. Like heatless desiccant dryers, membranes also waste air. For more information, pricing or availability click contact us

Heat Regenerative Desiccant Dryers

Heat Regenerative Desiccant Dryers are identical in operation to the heatless types, except that they do not waste as much air and instead make use of heat to regenrate the desiccant bed. There are few different ways to achieve this, but mostly blower purge or internal heating systems are used. If you are serious about saving energy, this is your dryer choice. Generally energy savings with this dryer type will only really be realised with dryers over 1000cfm, for dryers under this flow, dew point controllers would be adviseable. Artic Maintenance supply a full range of dryers spanning across all flow ranges. For more information, pricing or availability click contact us

Heatless Regenerative Desiccant Dryers

Heatless Regenerative Desiccant Dryers are suitable for sensitive, low pressure dew point applications such as -3°C, -20°C, -40°C,-70°C, etc. Although desiccant dryers offer a higher degree of water removal and are more impervious to environemtal conditions than refrigerated air dryers, they use compressed air to regenerate themselves. They are therefore very expensive to operate as the dryer will use approximately 15% of the air supply and blast it into the atmosphere - it is very expensive for compressors to produce compressed air in electrical power alone. Please note that most dryers are able to be retrofitted with a dew point controller which can significantly reduce the amount of air the dryer wastes. Heatless dryers are also sometimes called: PSA Dryers, Twin Tower Dryers, Adsorbtion Dryers, Chemical Dryers or Swing Dryers. Artic Maintenance supply a full range of dryers spanning across all flow ranges. For more information, pricing or availability click contact us

Refrigerated Air Dryers

Refrigerated Air Dryers are the most commonly used dryer types and typically offer pressure dew points in the 3°C to 5°C range and are suitable for most non sensitive general applications. Refrigerated air dryers use very little electrical power and waste very little compressed air. Refrigerated dryers are not suitable for sensitive applications requiring pressure dew points under 0°C and more susceptible to environmental damage (like very dusty environments such as woodwork shops). Artic Maintenance supply a full range of refrigerated air dryers spanning across all flow ranges. For more information, pricing or availability click contact us
