Compressed Air Filter Elements

CKL Condensate Separator Filter Element

High-efficiency bulk liquid separation for cleaner compressed air and improved downstream filter performance.

Product Description

CKL Condensate Separator Filter Element

Centrifugal bulk liquid removal to protect fine filtration stages in compressed air systems.

The CKL condensate separator filter element is designed for high-efficiency removal of bulk liquids from compressed air and vacuum systems. Installed inside compatible filter housings, the separator uses an internal structure that forces compressed air into a controlled rotational flow.

As compressed air enters the separator, centrifugal force pushes heavier liquid contaminants and particles towards the outer wall of the housing. These contaminants then slow down and collect at the bottom of the separator housing, where they are discharged through a condensate drain.

This separation stage is typically installed upstream of fine filtration elements, reducing the load on coalescing and activated carbon filters. By removing large quantities of condensate early in the process, CKL separator elements improve filtration efficiency and extend downstream element service life.

    FAQ

FAQ - CKL Condensate Separator Filter Element

What does a condensate separator filter element do?

A condensate separator removes bulk liquid contaminants such as water and oil droplets from compressed air systems before the air reaches finer filtration stages.

Where should a CKL separator be installed in a compressed air system?

It is typically installed upstream of coalescing filters and dryers, helping remove large amounts of condensate before fine filtration occurs.

Does the CKL separator require a condensate drain?

Yes. For proper operation, the separator housing must be equipped with an automatic or electronic condensate drain to remove collected liquids.

Why is bulk liquid removal important in compressed air systems?

Removing bulk liquids early in the filtration process reduces filter loading, improves efficiency, and extends the service life of downstream filters.

How often should the separator element be serviced?

Inspection should be performed during routine system maintenance, ensuring the separator and condensate drain are functioning correctly.
