The ball valve strainer is fitted before the autodrain to strain out large particle deposits (such as rust, pipe scale, etc.) to prevent the autodrain from being blocked up. The integrated ball valve allows for autodrain isolation without interrupting air to the plant or protected equipment. The BVS01 is dual ported to ¼"F½"M on inlet & ½"F on outlet.
