Silica Gel
Despite its name, Silica Gel is actually a solid compound. In the compressed air industry silica gel is not a very effective adsorbent in drying systems. The colour changing silica gel, however, can be very useful in moisture indication systems (when silica gel is water saturated, it changes from blue to pink or orange to green depending on your selection). Silica gel is available in colour changing orange or blue, as well as clear (not colour changing).
